A cultura africana é extremamente vasta e nos surpreende a cada dia. Enquanto encerrava minhas atividades sobre esse tema, ouvi essa maravilhosa canção, que faz parte da trilha sonora do filme australiano ‘O Poder de Um Jovem’ (The Power of ONE), de 1992, do diretor John G. Avildsen. Tem como atores principais Stephen Dorff e Morgan Freeman. O filme conta a história de um orfão aterrorizado pela crença política de sua família, o pequeno PK (Stephen), que procura ajuda em seu único amigo: um gentil e experiente prisioneiro Geel Piet (Freeman) que o ensina a lutar boxe. “O pequeno quando é esperto vence o grande”, diz o prisioneiro. “Primeiro com a cabeça, depois com o coração.” Vivendo por essas palavras, PK amadurece lutando com os seus punhos e com o coração. Ele abala o sistema e as injustiças a sua volta e descobre que uma pessoa realmente pode fazer diferença, na África do Sul, durante o aphartaid. Recomendo a todos. Divirtam-se!!!

The film tells the story of an orphaned terrorized by political belief of his family, the small PK (Stephen), which seeks to help in his only friend: a gentle and experienced prisoner Geel Piet (Freeman) who teaches boxing. “When is smart wins big”, says the prisoner. “First with the head, then with the heart”. Living by these words, PK matures with their fists and fighting with the heart. He shakes the system and the injustice around him and learns that one person really can make a difference, in South Africa, during the aphartaid. Recommend it to everyone. Enjoy yourself!!!
